Spike Airing WEC Prelims

This Saturday is the biggest day in WEC history with WEC 48 debuting on Pay-Per View. The WEC 48 card is stacked with Urijah Faber and Jose Aldo leading the way for the featherweight championship and Benson Henderson and Donald Cerrone battling for the lightweight title. Other notable fighters stepping into the cage are top featherweight contenders Scott Jorgensen, Mike Thomas Brown, and Anthony Njokuani and also The Ultimate Fighter season 1 veteran, Alex Karalexis, rising star, Chad Mendes, and proven fighter, Leonard Garcia. Spike TV is showing the WEC preliminary fights before the main card starts on Pay-Per-View. This is huge for the organization because this will spread the fan base to many combat sports fans that have never saw one of these action packed WEC fights. Soon the WEC will be respected as a MMA organization throughout the world and mentioned among one of the top organizations of the sport.
